Lynne Getz, mom of three and host of Mom to Mom TV is the guest on the podcast this week. Lynne is a lot of fun and shares with Colleen about the deal she made with the universe when she decided to have more kids. She talks with Colleen about her experience as a special needs parent, and all that comes with that. She does a beautiful job articulating how she is Lynne not mom, not a special needs mom, etc. These things may be an identifier but they are not my identity. She talks how she learned to let go of guilt and prioritize herself for the benefit of her children. She notes that in order to take care of your kids, you need to take care of their mom and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
She talks about the importance to be yourself because it is harder to hide who you are. Her story offers terrific perspective on reclaiming one’s identity and living true to oneself. “You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough you will.”
When asked about life hacks, Lynne shares that she is a big fan of meal planning. She shared the many wonderful services that exist out there for busy people and that help with making dinners less stressful and more delicious.

Homecooked is the other one where you just buy pre-made freezer meals, but they are delicious and so much better than anything you can get in the grocery store! It’s owned and run by Claire Guarino, and the website is http://www.homecooked.net/
