In honor of Mother’s Day and all the moms out there that have shared their words of wisdom with us over the years, I posted a question to my Facebook friends the other day to find out what the best advice or tip was that they’ve gotten from their mom through the years. My mom gave me great parenting advice that I still use today, “Children need love especially when they don’t deserve it”, and during our teenage years, it was always (especially to my brother, Frank Osborne) “Don’t do anything stupid”.
Lots of people responded with their mom’s advice, and the answers were a great mix of funny sayings to life and finance mantras, so I decided to share some of the feedback. After all, mother knows best!
